“I know every patient wants to be heard and cared for. That’s why the first thing I do is listen to my patients and get to know them: so I can meet them where they are. I want each patient to feel respected and taken care of as we meet their needs and achieve their goals together.”
Born in South Korea and raised in Guatemala, Dr. In Hee Joshua Song was an interpreter for medical missionaries while in middle and high school. While watching these missionaries change people's lives, he developed a passion for the medical field. He grew up wanting to be a surgeon. With encouragement from his family, he shadowed a local dentist and fell in love with dentistry.
With a desire to serve his patients well, Dr. Song started his own practice where he could cultivate an environment of positivity and empathy. Growing up, his pain was dismissed by dentists as child behavioral issues. He discovered in dental school that the numbing anesthetic doesn’t work on him, and the pain he experienced was real. Never wanting his patients to feel dismissed or unheard, he really listens to each patient to ensure their needs are met.
Dr. Song loves spending time with his wife and their two children. They moved from New York to Sacramento to be closer to family and love it here. You can find him in his home garden tending to his fruits and veggies or playing with his children.
“Dr Song has exceptional skills with honesty and humor. His commitment to patient well-being and surgical excellence is truly commendable, I highly recommend Dr. Song.”
